Preview:As noted in the August SP&P, the Society was bequeathed (and has now taken delivery of) Richard Philcox's extra-illustrated set of Horsfield's History of Sussex. Originally published in two volumes in 1835, this particular copy comes in nine large quarto volumes and measures 85 cm (2ft 9½in) along the shelf.
