Abstract:Humphry Repton was the last of the three outstanding designers who dominated the English Landscape movement from approximately 1720 to 1820, and thereby achieved the transformation of a vast acreage of uncultivated land into the parks and gardens which were to become some of our principal legacies from the Georgian period.
