Abstract:Looks at the up and coming practice of Alma-nac (run by Chris Bryant, Caspar Rodgers and Tristan Wigfall), whose first new-build project in East Sussex combines elegance with confidence. A kink in the plan allows for the separation of the house's private and more public functions, while each internal space is oriented towards a particular view from the hilltop site.
