Preview:At Chiddingly, on the same day, 23 May 1780, were buried Jemima Medhurst, 19, and Thomas Funnell, 27, "brot [brought] to church from one house together". Thomas Funnell was baptized 3 May 1752 at Chalvington and married Philadelphia Hammond on 17 August 1775 at Chiddingly. Jemima Elphick was baptized 5 April 1761 at Chiddingly and married Daniel Medhurst 10 July 1779. The article describes the situation of both familes but leaves unresolved why they were brot to church from one house together.
