Preview:My journey into family history began, as with so rnany others, when my husband, shortly after the death of his father, was given by his mother a family photo taken in 1912. Unlike so many other photos we knew who all the participants were however the stated location did not match the area for that time and thus began my journey. The occasion was the marriage of my husband's great grandmother to her third husband. In attendance was her son who was my husband's grandfather Lyall SHEILDS (1890-1941) as well as his fiancée along with other family members.
