Abstract:
Milton Mount College was founded in 1871 for the education of the daughters of Congregational ministers. Its original location was Milton, near Gravesend, Kent but in 1920 it moved to Worth Park, near Crawley - now a large "new town". Various pressures led to the school's closure in 1960. The school had five headmistresses during its existence.
This is an account of life at a girls' boarding school seen through the eyes of the pupils, and contains over 80 black & white photographs plus four pages in colour.
