My interest in Rose Jane BOXALL was sparked when I discovered that she had been widowed three times before the age of 35, two of her husbands being brothers, cousins to my great-grandfather. Had I stumbled across a black widow? Wanting to find out more I looked into her life using census returns and invested in certificates. The results were surprising.
