Abstract:Relates to the painting from the School of Holbein, representing King Henry VIII riding to Southsea Castle and showing the sinking of the Mary Rose in 1545. included in the painting is Sir Anthony Browne, owner of Cowdray. The original painting was destroyed in the 1793 fire.
