Sarah, daughter of Samuel Russell and Sophia Company, was born on 2 December 1822 at Etchingham. She married Ebenezer Caleb Crouch on 20 October 1846 in Ticehurst. They joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and emigrated to Utah in 1856 where Ebenezer died in 1872 and Sarah died in 1893.
