Preview:The letter which follows was written in 1832 by Samuel Daw (1787-1876), his wife Martha (1790-1865) and their only son Samuel (1817-1906) to Martha's mother Mrs Fuller. They had just arrived in New York, having emigrated from London, and the letter tells of their trip and landing.
