This sad tale comes from my wife's ancestry. She has LUXFORDs in her tree. Incidentally, many of their men folk worked with trees - they were bushmen or wood cutters. However, the victims in this story didn't get the chance to work, or raise offspring. They were cut down in their prime.
William Robert LUXFORD was born at Ewhurst, Sussex in 1831 and emigrated to Australia with his mother Eliza and stepfather James BOOTS. His father James LUXFORD had died early, aged 31 in August 1835. William was Enid's 3G-uncle.
