Vestry & East end wall modern; nave Norman, chancel 13th century - Nairn & Pevsner (583-4) and plan in SNQ (XIV 15); condition reported 'fine' in 1724 (Ford 141); Plumpton had 40 families in 1724 and a population of 1710 in 1801.
