Vestry & East end wall modern; nave Norman, chancel 13th century - Nairn & Pevsner (583-4) and plan in SNQ (XIV 15); condition reported 'fine' in 1724 (Ford 141); Plumpton had 40 families in 1724 and a population of 1710 in 1801.

-  M.I. (14 lines, engraved, black) in upper 60% of a grey-veined marble oval plaque; lightly engraved border; small corbel.

-  Arthur Faulconer, d. 23 Dec 1822, aet 26; youngest son of William Faulconer, Esq., of Henfield Place; his sister, Anne Woolgar, d. 9 Mar 1830, aet 49, daughter of William Faulconer, and wife of Philip Woolgar.

-  M.I. (10 lines, engraved, black) on an unframed white marble tablet; above, straight cornice in veined marble; above, an escutcheon on a diamond backplate; below, a simple base mould and 2 scrolled corbels.
