(207) POYNINGS, Holy Trinity
Perpendicular (after 1369); North transept was Montague Chapel, the South transept was the Poynings chapel - Nairn & Pevsner (586); plans in SNQ (4 111) and Holland (SAC 15 33), with external view from North-East (p.46); condition reported in 1724 to be fine (Ford 142).

- Dame Mary Ball, d. 28 Sep 1832, aet 85; widow of Sir Alexander John Ball, Bart., captain of HMS Alexander, rear admiral of H.M. Red Squadron and Governor of Malta, d. 25 Oct 1809, aet 52, another memorial at Malta.

- 25 x 25~Very good.
- Set with head to East, a grey hexagonal stone, inscribed 'L.R.R. / 1817'.
