14^th-century, over-restored; East wall modern, rest mediaeval, 17^th-century porch - Nairn & Pevsner (628); SNQ (XIV 238) - with plan; there were 204 communicants in 1603 when the patron was Mrs Ann Goring of Lewes, widow, see Renshaw (Ecclesiastical Returns); 56 families in the parish (with East Chiltington) in 1724 and a population of 368 in 1801.

- Frances Rideout, d. 5 Jan 1785, aet 27; daughter of Rev. Francis Woodgate, vicar of Mountfield, Sussex; and wife of Rev. Richard Rideout, rector of Westmeston.

- M.I. (engraved, black) fills a white marble tablet; plain black border; flanking, highly polished white marble Doric half columns; moulded entablature with floral patterns left and right; above, in low relief, a white marble urn against a slate base with a curved top; below, corbels with concentric decoration.

- Rev. William Henry Campion, rector of Westmeston and Streat, died at Milan, 7 Apr 1821, aet 36.
