(73) DALLINGTON, St. Giles (also St. Margaret)
Condition reported to be fine in 1724 (Ford) but the church was largely rebuilt in 1864 - Nairn & Pevsner (479); for views see BL Add. MS 5676 f.2; 5670 f.66-67; the mural monuments from the old church were repositioned as a group in the North aisle, the ancient Randoll pew and burial place  Horsfield (Sussex I 569), having been found under the belfry; monuments at Dallington have been heavily cleaned.
