12th-13th-century aisles, North transept rebuilt 1863, South chapel 14th century - Nairn & Pevsner (481-2) and plan in SNQ (III 186); external view of church, see Farrant (205; BL Add. MS 5672 f.14; 5677 f.49); paving reported to be fine in 1724, with exception of South or Abergavenny chancel, see Ford (129); the parish had 200 communicants in 1603, see Renshaw (Ecclesiastical Returns); two branches of the Turners are commemorated here by ledgers: for one family see 77B-C, E-H, for the other 77D.
