38B Mural monument for Felicia Elizabetha Selby HELE, d. 1829

-  Chancel, North wall, at head height.

-  97(W) x 185(H)~Excellent; fading; colour.

-  Curved backplate; reclining, draped figure mourns over a gilded urn; moulded cornice; below, a framed M.I. (many lines, engraved and black) in pedestal form against a square base; on apron, extravagantly gilded rosettes on square corbels; between, escutcheon and motto; signed (under lower edge): 'M. W. JOHNSON, NEW RD, LONDON'.

-  Felicia Hele, d. 10 Oct 1829, aet 59; one of three daughters of Rt. Rev. George Horne, bishop of Norwich, etc and Felicia Elizabetha, daughter of Philip Burton of Burton Lazars, Leicestershire, Hatton Garden, London and Eltham, Kent; and wife of Robert Selby Hele, rector, etc., nephew of John Hele of St. Pancras and Devon; issue of Robert and Felicia Hele - 15 (8 survive).
