38C Wall monument for Sir Goddard OXENBRIDGE, d. 1531, erected 1537

-  Lady Chapel (Oxenbridge Chantry), against South wall.

-  194(W) x 188(H)~Fine; restoration; discolouration and staining (lower).

-  In Caen stone; against wall; a recumbent armoured figure on tomb-chest, faces East, hands clasped in prayer, heraldic supporter at feet, head on helmet on pillow; on tomb-chest, escutcheons and dentil mouldings; behind and above, panels with cornice and frieze with triglyphs; flanking pilasters with grotesques and other decorative; in centre, the date 1537; no other M.I.; below, on floor, base mouldings.
