- M.I. on a white marble tablet, set portrait-wise; light frame and scrolled shoulders; above, a straight ledge and a goblet adorned with roses; below, an escutcheon on an ornamental apron.
- Ann Courthope, died at Sevenoaks, 18 May 1689, aet 62; daughter of William Brian, Gent.; and wife of George Courthope, Gent., of the Middle Temple, London, d. 24 Sep 1691, buried Boorn, Sussex; issue - George, Ann, Brian, Mary, Catharine, Thomas, James, Edward, John and Henry, all still living; and John, Elianor, Judith and Hannah, all died young.
