123I Mural monument for Richard RANDES, d. 1640

-  South chapel, North wall, at head height.

-  100(W) x c.182(H)~Good; cracks (lower cherub).

-  M.I. (Latin) ambitious, on a black slate panel with an arched top, set portrait-wise within a white and brown alabaster frame; flanked by polished black Corinthian columns; decorated relief panels at edges, with scrollwork; above, straight cornice with broken pointed pediment with scrolled decoration; between, a black obelisk on a base; below the base mouldings, 2 cherubs on corbels; another M.I. on a semi-circular panel; at foot a third winged cherub.
