(13 lines, engraved, gilded) on unframed, square, black panel; mounted on grey marble frame of strong squared shapes; above, a slim white marble cornice supporting palmettes; escutcheon on a pointed black baseplate; below, chunky corbels; signed (lower left) 'REGN...'; (lower right) 'LONDON / SCULPr'.

-  Richard Davies, Esq., formerly of West Kent Regiment of Militia, d. 28 Jun 1823, aet 65, son of the late Rev. Chamberlayne Davies, rector of Ashurst and 40 years curate of Hartfield.
