125O Mural Monument for Thomas and Ann DELVES, d. 1669 and 1686/7

-  South aisle wall, towards East end.

-  91(W) x 137(H)~Good, some repairs.

-  M.I. (16 + 14 lines, engraved) fills black slate tablet set portrait-wise; framed in alabaster and black panels: above, a motif of crossed ferns; a cornice and broken scrolled pediment with achievement; moulded frame around the tablet with ribbons of foliage above and shouldered profile: below, base moulding on double scrolled brackets; on the apron, cherubs head.

-  Thomas Delves, a Baron of Hastings at the coronation of Charles II, mayor, Captain of Trained Bands etc., d. 4 Sep 1669, aet 57; his brother, Nicholas Delves, Alderman of London; Ann, wife of Thomas, d. 23 Feb 1686/7, aet 63; his nephew, also Nicholas Delves, son of Nicholas, d. 4 Mar 1682, aet 34.
