147D Mural monument for Charles ROCHESTER, d. 1758

-  Choir, South wall, at head height.

-  150(W) x 285(H)~Excellent; no colour.

-  In grey, white and patterned marbles; male & female portrait reliefs in a framed roundel, with scrolled side and a curved top; above, in half relief, an urn flanked by flaming torches; below, base mouldings and a sarcophagus on clawed feet, with egg-and-dart and a M.I. on a panel; below, a decorative marble border; then an apron with an escutcheon in a Baroque frame.

-  Charles Rochester, Esq., d. 20 Nov 1758, aet 55; his wife, Leonora, d. 3 Mar 1756, aet 48, third daughter of Charles Eversfield, Esq., of Denn, Sussex.
