- M.I. (28 + 7 lines) on white marble obelisk; unframed; below, a sarcophagus with prominent gadroon and acanthus decorated on a rectangular base, supported by a thin base on scrolled corbels; between corbels, escutcheon on apron.
- Rev. William Gwynne, rector of Hamsey and St. Anne Lewes, d. 16 Apr 1818, aet 73; his wife, Elizabeth, d. 19 Apr 1810, aet 57; their issue - Rowland Gwynne, Major (10th Regiment of Native Infantry), died at Madras, 20 Jul 1823, aet 38; John Gwynne, Captain (26th Regiment of Native Infantry) and paymaster of the Dooab district, died at Brighton, 15 Dec 1832, aet 46 and buried in this church; and Iltid Gwynne, Lt. Col. (43rd Regiment of Native Infantry) died at Ellore, 31 May 1833, aet 44.
