160J Mural monument for Charles RAND, d. 1812, and his nephew Charles RAND, d. 1808

-  South aisle, South wall, centre, above head height.

-  120(W) x 125(H)~Good; local losses (arms, above, see fixing holes).

-  M.I. (19 lines, engraved, black) on white marble rectangular panel; very narrow black frame; below, decorative moulding; above, cornice with lower section dropping to a point; this balances the pointed pediment; above, attached arms.

-  Captain Charles Rand, served the East India Co. for 17 years, d. 13 Oct 1812, aet 57; also his nephew, also Captain Charles Rand, Junior, served the East India Co. for 14 years, d. 21 Aug 1808 aet 31, son of Cater Rand, of Lewes; both subjects campaigned against Tippoo Sultan.
