(15 lines, engraved, black) on a white marble panel set portrait-wise; narrow black frame; curved lower edge; flanking, flat pilasters with floral capitals, leafy corbels and engraved geometric decoration; above, a flat entablature with an urn on a pedestal in low relief; black baseplate in obelisk form.

-  Richard Comber, Esq., of Gatewick, Steyning, formerly of Lewes, d. 24 Jul 1817, aet 84, second son of Benjamin Comber, M.D., and Mary, eldest daughter of John Waterman, Gent., of Ashford, Kent; Richard Comber's wife, Jane, d. 26 Jun 1802, aet 53, daughter of John Woodgate, of Lewes.
