164G Mural monument for William and Harriot BOARD, d. 1790 and d. 1809, and their children

-  South aisle wall, towards East end, at head height.

-  114(W) x c.200(H)~Good.

-  Black baseplate with a curved top and a pointed bottom; M.I. (engraved & black) fills white marble tablet, set portrait-wise; below, a base moulding, a finned downward-pointing apron and 2 acanthus corbels; black pilasters with hanging garlands flanking; above, a white cornice and a segmented pediment with foliage and an escutcheon flanked by decorated palmettes; trace of signature (underside of baseplate, now partly obscured by wall plaster): 'MARSHALL (?) FECIT / DEPTFORD'.

-  William Board, Esq, of Pax Hill, magistrate, etc., d. 26 Jul 1790, aet 60, elder son of John Board, Esq., of Pax Hill and Board Hill; his widow, Harriot Godolphin, d. 4 Sep 1809, aet 77, daughter of John Crawfurd, Esq., of Saint-Hill; their issue - Harriot, Countess Winterton; Louisa, d. 14 Jul 1811, aet 56, wife of Rev. William-Moreton Moreton, M.A., of Moreton Hall, Cheshire; and Fanny, d. 16 Feb 1808, aet 40, wife of Gibbs Crawfurd, Esq.; their issue William-Board-Edward-Gibbs, Harriot-Fanny and Harriot-Louisa.
