-  M.I. (engraved, white) fills slate (?) tablet; black Composite pilasters flanking; entablature with blank black frieze; above, a generous cornice with scrolled, broken pediment; large achievement in grey stone; below, scrolled corbels support base moulding; between, an edged, curved marble apron with elaborate garland.

-  Thomas Houghton, Esq., principal of Clifford's Inn, London, d. 30 Jul 1669, aet 75; his wife Walsingham, d. 30 Jan 1669/70, aet 65; their youngest son, John, d. 8 Dec 1666, aet 36.
