195E Mural monument for John PAINE, d. 1768

-  Chancel South wall, immediately West of 195D.

-  89(W) x c.160(H)~Very good.

-  A grey marble M.I. tablet set portrait-wise; flanked by recessed darker grey plain pilasters with fluted capitals; below, a base moulding and dentils dropping to an ornamental apron; above, 2 small finials flank a flattened triangular pediment and an urn in relief.

-  John Paine, Esq., of Falmer, Patcham, d. 6 Jun 1768, aet 56; his widow, Hannah, d. 4 Apr 1779, aet 72; Grace, daughter of John Paine, Esq., and Grace, d. 17 Jun 1786, aet 4; also Sarah, wife of (another) John Paine, d. 4 Oct 1865.
