221WW Mural monument for John WOOLLETT, d. 1819

-  Crossing, North-West pier, facing West, at head height.

-  119(W) x 248(H)~Fine; local damage (fluted panels, flanking).

-  On a thin black baseplate with pointed arched top; a white marble panel with arched top, against which, in low relief, heavenly glory opens out over allegorical figures of Hope and Faith (?) against an altar; beneath, a moulding; then M.I. (8 lines, engraved, black) on an ornamental apron; flanking, very short fluted pilasters; signed (lower left and right): 'J. BACON. INVT' and 'S.MANNING. FT'.
