222A Mural monument for Thomas JENKIN, d. 1768

-  Verger's vestry, North wall, towards West end, high.

-  Inaccessible~Sound; faded.

-  M.I. (10 + 10 + 7 lines, engraved, black, centred) on rectangular panel of heavily veined grey marble, set portrait-wise; ogival curved top; 2 large scrolled corbels.

-  Thomas Jenkin, A.M., vicar of Salehurst, d. 28 Jan 1768, aet 45; his grandparents, Simeon Ashe, vicar of Salehurst, d. 1727, aged 66 and Winifrid, d. 1717, aet 43; also Stephen Jenkin, A.M.F.A.S, vicar of Salehurst and Selmeston, d. 5 Apr 1827, aet 72; his wife, Anne, d. 15 Nov 1828, aged 80; their issue, Elizabeth Jenkin, died Ghent, Flanders, 17 Nov 1792, aet 6, and Lieutenant William Jenkin, R.M., wrecked in HMS Minotaur off the Textel and drowned 22 Dec 1810, aet 19.
