244A Mural monument for Sir John PELHAM, d. 1580, his wife and his son Oliver, d. 1584/5
- North aisle wall, at head height.
- c.118(W) x c.176(H)~Fine; many repairs.
- At the top, an achievement on a circular plate with a scrollwork base; below this, an entablature on Doric columns, framing three figures kneeling at a prayer-desk (2 male to the left, 1 female to the right); below, M.I. (many lines, engraved, black) on apron below; arms; at the foot, as a corbel, a decorative panel with Latin motto.
- Sir John Pelham, d. 13 Oct 1580; husband of Judith, daughter of Oliver St. John of Bletsowe, Bedfordshire; their issue, Oliver Pelham, d. 19 Jan 1584/5.
