- 200(W) x 330(H)~Excellent; faded.
- Portrait bust on pedestal adorned with scrolls and foliage, in a shallow arched niche with attached Corinthian columns, variegated marble flanking; outside the columns, scrolls set vertically with foliage; within, simple pilasters in darker grey marble; above, escutcheons (blank) with foliage decoration; at top, coffered pediment (no entablature); globe in centre; lamps flanking; below, decorative base moulding, brackets; ornamental apron with M.I. (engraved).
- Sir John Lade, Bart., of St. Saviour's Southwark, MP, JP, Dep. Lieut. of Southwark and London, etc., d. 30 Jul 1740, aet 78; fifth and youngest son of Thomas Lade, Gent., of Warbleton; no wife; no issue; brother unnamed; his brother's grandson, John Inskip, now also John Lade, Esq.
